End of year opening hours

We inform our readers that due to the university winter break, the SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives will close at midnight on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and will reopen at 9 a.m. on January 2, 2026.

2–3 January (Friday–Saturday) 9:00–20:00

We are unable to collect books during the closure, but loan periods do not fall on these days. Please return any books due before the library closes, as late fees will continue to be charged during the closure.

We would also like to inform our readers that due to the financial closure of the University of Szeged, cash payments at the Circulation Desk will be suspended between December 19, 2025, and January 5, 2026. During this period, only credit card payments will be accepted on site, as well as online payments via SimplePay after logging into the online catalog (Qulto).

All inter-library loan services will be suspended from 22 December. Requests received during this period will be processed starting January 5.

External store room services will be suspended from 19 December, and requests submitted after the 19th will be processed no earlier than January 6 2026.

Repository processing, MTMT list verification, and certificate issuance will be suspended between 18 December and 4 January 4 2026. Requests submitted during this period will begin being processed during the first week of January. Processing time may increase depending on the number of items accumulated.

From Sunday, January 4, 2026, exam period the following opening hours will apply:

  • weekdays from 8:00-24:00;
  • Saturdays from 9:00-20:00;
  • Sundays from 10:00-18:00.

During this period, only our on-site services will be available to previously registered readers on weekday evenings from 10:00 p.m. to midnight and on Sundays. Registration, borrowing, renewals, and returns will not be available during this time.
