Quality Policy

The mission of the University of Szeged Klebelsberg Library is to be a central supporting institution of the university’s training programs and research with its collections, traditional library services, electronic information and content providing services and with its professional staff trained for and committed to providing services.

The University of Szeged Klebelsberg Library supports the extensive instructional, research and study activities of the university with the help of a dynamically developed collection of traditional and non-traditional documents, information resources, providing quick and effective access to external information resources and also traditional library and modern electronic services required by students, professors and researchers to achieve their goals at the university and in their profession.

By continuous developments and applying new methods, the University of Szeged Klebelsberg Library makes every effort to establish and maintain such an organization, environment and infrastructure that provides a proper background for library information services and activities.

To this end we are committed to the following issues:

  • The executive board and every employee are responsible for and pledged to ensure quality management standards.
  • It is ensured that every member of our staff becomes acquainted with our institution’s Quality Policy, as well as with the purpose, structure and methods of the implementation of our Quality Assurance System.
  • In order to efficiently operate and improve the Quality Assurance System, our management provides the required resources at the highest standards and as far as possible, economically, to meet the library users’ needs.
  • We comply with all the current legislations, regulations and our self-assumed requirements.
  • We ensure our commitment to quality with the continuous training and motivation of our colleagues.
  • We establish our quality requirements towards our partners and during their selection, we always take into account our expected quality standards.
  • The contentment level of our users and colleagues are monitored on a regular basis.
  • We intend to maintain a close and permanent connection with our readers in order to assess their quality requirements and to follow up our results in the area of quality.
  • With our acquired knowledge we intend to continuously improve our Quality Assurance System.

The staff members of the University of Szeged Klebelsberg Library are obliged to adjust themselves to our Quality Policy and its related documents. It is ensured that our colleagues and partners associated with our services understand and apply these publicly available regulations.

With this document entering into force today, I personally confirm our commitment to the above mentioned objectives.
