The SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives offers its users AI-based tools for bibliographic research, generation of scientific texts and drafts, and AI language checking. A special feature of these AI tools is that they are based on selected scientific publications, thus avoiding subject errors, and the answers can be checked against scientific references. These tools create the scientific texts with the user and not instead of him.
1. Our AI-based bibliographic and citation search engine is Scite.
Scite not only contains metadata for DOI, Gold and Green Open Access articles, but also indexes the full texts of articles available by subscription from many large publishers. The tool supports searching and tracking references to reliable scientific literature from the natural sciences to the humanities with the following features:
Scite’s Citation Statement Search module can be used to search for a publication with a DOI to display the publications that reference the article. In addition to the abstracts, you can view the paragraphs citing the publication in question, and display and contextualise whether the article just mentions, supports or refutes it. Scite itself does not provide the full text of the publications used, but does provide a link to the publication where it can be viewed if you have a university subscription.
Scite’s Reference Check function checks the referenced publications by uploading the manuscript and flags if any have been withdrawn or a correction has been published.
2. We recommend the Scite Assistant module as an alternative to ChatGPT. This is an AI-supported chat that, unlike other AI tools, does not give a hallucinated answer backed up by fake references, but one based on scientific publications with a real reference list. The tool can be used in Hungarian and other languages.

3. Our MI language checking tool is Writefull, which can be used in Word and Overleaf. Writefull application uses the latest language artificial intelligence to perform post- or real-time linguistic and grammatical correction and citation checking of the manuscript in preparation, based on the mass of already published, peer-reviewed scientific publications.
AI scientific assistants
Writefull offers AI assistants to answer questions, called TeXGPT in Overleaf and Ask AI in Word. Unlike ChatGPT, it is designed specifically for answering questions in a scientific context and is tailored for LaTeX in Overleaf. This allows it to provide reliable answers that are tailored to the needs of students and researchers.

4. In addition to the traditional similarity check, the SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives also operates an AI detector service, whereby it performs the checking of assigned papers for instructors.
The GPT detector has three areas of use, as well as the traditional similarity check:
- for SZTE authors to self-check their manuscripts,
- for SZTE editors to check incoming manuscripts,
- for SZTE instructors to check student-submitted papers
