University Collection

What is it exactly?

The mission of the University Collection is to collect, elaborate, provide and preserve all of the documents concerning the history and present of the University of Szeged and which are able to provide the coming generation with data of great value in this topic. Accordingly, the following items concern its collection area: photographs, press releases, monographs, dissertations and memorials.

Where can I find it?

The items of the collection are not kept in one place and the greater part of it is in the stack rooms, hence those items are not freely accessible for inquiry. At the same time, several electronic databases make the prior inquiry available and the colleagues of the collection will also readily help. The material of the collection can be used during the whole opening hours of the library.

How can I use it?

Since the printed documents belonging to the University Collection can be found mainly in closed stack rooms, for their use the storage request function of the catalog of the Library should be applied. The documents of the Collection should only be used in the library.

To find the digital content of the University Collection, the Database of Photographs, the Contenta Repository of UnivHistoria and the Contenta Repository of Dissertations (from the 1st of February, 2011) are advised to use.
