Colección de Estudios Hispánicos e Iberoamericanos
What is it exactly?
The special collection mainly consists of specialized literature in the Spanish language, but volumes in Hungarian, English, and French concerning Latin America and Spain can also be found. The holdings of the collection are growing permanently due to the extended international connections and co-operations of the Department of Hispanic Studies. There is a live volume-exchanging connection pursued by the library not only with embassies and consulates of countries pertaining to the Hispanic cultures but with 15 foreign universities, in which there are scientific workshops dealing with Hispanic research. In addition, the stock of the special collection in the reading rooms and in the stack rooms are constantly expanding with the individual donation of experts in Hispanic culture research and of students studying in the department.
Where can I find it?
The Hispanic Special Collection of the SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives incorporates nearly 10000 volumes, from which 5100 volumes are located on the 2nd floor, in the Historical Sciences reading room, bearing green labels, starting from shelf number 21/1. How can I use it?
Materials indispensable for education belong to the „textbooks, course books” document type category in the circulation policy; therefore, they can be borrowed for 4 weeks and cannot be renewed. For the majority of the language books, items with literary topics and authors, the loan period is longer, taking into account that there are more copies available. The elaboration of the volumes in the reading rooms of the Hispanic Collection is complete, and the catalog of the SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives contains its entire material. Browsing by authors and titles is temporarily efficient in the catalog; the elaboration of the volumes according to keywords is still in progress.
